In 2002 I began my work with children and families in the mental health community. In 2015 I opened this practice and since then, it has grown into an 18-person, employee-based, integrative health wellness center right in the heart of Golden. I have always wanted a place that has true integrative care for the whole person and the wrap-around support that is truly needed in health care today.

In addition to Banksy, one of our psychiatric service dogs at The Golden Wellness Center, I am also married and with two elementary-aged kiddos, I truly understand the daily struggles that family experiences and the reality of being a spouse and parent in this world today. My focus is working with children, women, and families who are dealing with big feelings and to help you understand and gain back a functional and then healthy level of control. I combine the power of person-centered therapy and child-centered play therapy with a touch of reality therapy in the room with my clients.

During my time as a counselor, I have worked in London, England as a Highly Specialized Play Therapist at Whole Child Therapy Center. I have volunteered as a WINGS Facilitator, working with women suffering from childhood sexual abuse, leading two groups with this organization, including an Animal Assisted support group. I have experience working with diverse populations, in many countries worldwide.

I am passionate about the “whole” life experience and enjoy being a therapeutic guide on my client’s life journeys. I believe that every person should have the right to safety and freedom, and I am passionate about local and global efforts that empower educational rights for girls and women.

Currently, I am finishing my Ph.D. in Counseling Education and Supervision at the University of Holy Cross. I am currently working on my dissertation on how elementary-age children were effected by the COVID-19 pandemic. It is a qualitative phenomenological research study. I am also getting my Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Certificate from Naropa University. I will be introducing ketamine treatments at The Golden Wellness Center for the treatment of TRD- Treatment-Resistant Depression and/ or Major Depressive Disorder with Suicidal Thoughts. This is very important to me because these are the most critical population in the mental health field to treat. I am very excited about this work and all of the work I am doing this year with GWC.
